How does Textbot work?

We're like the Starbucks app that handles your orders & payments. But we use text-messages. You can visit our How It Works page to learn more.

Do I need to enter payment details to sign up?

No. You can sign up and use Textbot for for free without entering your payment details. We have a Free Textbot plan, which is free for merchants.

How are you different from Square?

Square is our partner. We extend Square's POS features to allow your customers to order ahead with text messages, for free. No websites to setup and no hardware required. Get running in minutes.

Can I cancel my account at any time?

Yes. If you ever decide that Textbot isn’t the best mobile order platform for your business, simply cancel your account.

Does it work without wifi?

Yes, you only need cellular network.

Does Textbot text my phone with orders?

Is there any transaction fee?

No. There is no transaction nor hidden fees.

What's your credit card rates?

We partner with Square and Stripe. They set the credit card processing rates. Current rates is 2.9% + 30¢ for both.

No. We value your privacy and your customers will not see your phone number. Orders will show up in our app with your login credentials.

Do I need to purchase new hardware?

No. Our app works on your phone or tablet. No new hardware required.

What is the setup process like?

Can I use my Square or Stripe accounts?

Yes! Simply sign up a free account with us and we will guide you on connecting your accounts.

You can get started in minutes, no days or weeks. We have a 3-step onboarding process that will guide you to complete setup before you finish your coffee.

Do I sell the same items on Textbot as I do in-store?

You can also customize your takeout menu on Textbot, or you can post your full menu with us. We suggest keeping the menu simple, since we don't show pictures and the menu is displayed on text-messages.
